Dec 26, 2015 Well half of it was projects for sure. In my opinion, Vince has the best album of the year. Future has the second best. Then TPAB and the Thug projects are a toss up for me. Drake has the worst. The other half was (for lack of a better word) how hot they were all year. I don't think anyone can argue against Future being the hottest. 4 widely known projects and a feature verse on every other album. Kendrick's TPAB vaulted him past the skies. Vince Staples put himself on a lot of people's maps by the strength of some great music. Thugger gave us a wealth of music and earned industry wide respect. And Drake just did his usual thing, just (unfortunately) more for his antics than his music but it is what it is. On that list you can swap Vince and Thugger, but I would say Future and Kendrick are my #1 and #2 locks, and Drake is definitely the worst out of the available choices, no question. 3 and 4 is a toss up, I gave it to Vince though because I love his album.

Dec 26, 2015 right, vince probably had the best project out of all the artists. no real argument there. Yeah I just didnt get the placement of Vince above thug. Thug had more quality projects, and definitely made more of an impact than Vince with Best Friend, With That, Good Times, etc. Vince got screwed over. Outside of this site (and even on this site in certain pockets) you can see how overlooked Vince's project is. People have all but forgotten about it.

He doesn't know what hes talking about AT ALL... he's just blindy stanning one of the worst artists hip hop has ever seen.
Dec 26, 2015 Talib is out of touch if he said that man The artist who has been shaping the sound of modern hiphop since he broke out (Kanye) had immense praise for Thug. EDIT: And honestly Drake was average at best over this past year. I didn't realize that until I went back and looked at the music he dropped in 2014 He's gonna turn it around next year though, I just feel like he's forcing himself to drop average music to keep his name in relevant conversation while buying time for Views. I'm prolly wrong but we'll find out in a month
