So when Kendrick gets critical acclaim it's undeniable

When future and thug do everyone is lying and it's politics

    The irony kills me

When Narsh dickrides Young Thug it's ok

When people say he's garbage it's because "they're talking about artists they don't listen to" aka they're close minded.

    The irony kills me

Except when I defend thug I use my own reasoning. I don't vomit other people's praise. When people critique TPAB theyve actually heard it. Have you heard B6? SS1? SS2? Tha Tour pt. 1? 1017? I also don't dodge people's criticisms of thug. Ever.

Sidenote: you never explained why, in terms of jazz history, Kendrick couldn't use any other voice on Hood Politics -- even tho the beat isn't a jazzy beat.

    I'm still dying to know

    "critical acclaim"

Barter 6 got Generally favorable reviews (critical acclaim = 81/100 on mc)
and critics didn't even try to waste their time reviewing Slime Season 2

Clones don't pay homage they imitate......if you dickride what thug is doing then you better dickride wayne's recent mixtape. s--- is about the same, quality wise.

Pretty sure nobody in this thread has yet to create a real argument of their own explaining why Kendrick > Future & Young Thug and why Future & Young Thug are garbage. And if someone has one, quote it here.
Funny how y'all complain about Narsh dickriding Thugger when there is NOTHING you contribute to the discussion other than liking the posts attacking him and calling TPAB aoty and aotd. That's what i call dickriding.

    MTY VERY SHALLOW LISTENING

    Dec 26, 2015
I'll take a stab. I liked most of what Future put out this year, but TPAB is simply better than any project Future put out. The best Future project this year was 56 Nights, but even then that project suffered a bit from Southside's production which could sound kinda samey at times. There is tons of diversity throughout Kendrick's project and it all comes together insanely well to make a project that's consistent in tone. You can also say Thug is diverse and I would agree, but for me at least he is way too inconsistent on that diversity. Just because you are able to make music in a different style doesn't automatically make you good and you shouldn't just be lauded for being different, as different is important, but being good/great and different is what Kendrick does in strides that Thug has simply not succeeded in for me at least.

inb4 narsh tells me hurr durr u need to listen all of his projects to criticize thug blah blah blah

It honestly impresses me how @Narsh almost always has a counter-argument to anyone's criticisms on Thug, no matter how much he has to reach to find them.

Nope, narsh isn't going to do that.... i'm pretty sure if you watch this thread you can see why he's claiming someone hasn't listened to the artists. AND IF HE CLAIMS, why don't you show him that you have, no one has yet to do that, what does it say?

I can't say much about everyone else in the thread but the only full project from Thug I've listened to was Barter 6 which I gave many shots but it never clicked. Tried to get through Slime Season 1 and I stopped about halfway through since it wasn't clicking with me, and I haven't given Slime Season 2 a shot either because hey, I really don't need to or care to listen to this guy by my choice. I'll probably give HiTunes a shot but really anything else is just gonna be by request (like when @Narsh tagged me the other day for that snippet of the Timbaland x Thug collab since he knows my biggest gripe with him is his inconsistent production).

Tell me where I've reached then so I don't make the same mistake twice

Instead of being snarky about it
Listen to ss2, or at least Raw, Flaws, Hey I, my baby, etc.

Or else you're genuinely missing out.
