Dec 27, 2015 Young Thug gets praised a lot here but it's mostly warranted. He's released a lot of great music this year. The Lil B comparison is so far fetched though lol. Lil B is a walking meme like... Most people knew that from the beginning lol. That's not what Thug is.

Dec 27, 2015 He's not that well liked. I have never met anybody in RL who likes him, let alone thinks he is the best. He is overrated on these forums. I heard a few songs, I didn't like them. Why do I have to listen to every song an artist made to have an opinion? Do I have to listen to every song he's ever made to decide I don't like him? If from what I've heard I don't like him, why would I waste my time forcing myself to listen to his discography when there is so much I would like to listen to by people I like?
Dec 27, 2015 because he's one of the most versatile artists alive. not liking a couple, or even a dozen, songs by him means nothing. Asking you to check out at least ONE project by him doesnt equate to asking you to listen to every song he's done. literally everyone I know IRL knows of him, or listens to him. every project of his since 1017 has been well received by critics. Elton John went out of his way to praise him for this track: and, if you dont want to do any of that, then its simple -- stop acting like you have some sort of worthwhile input to add to conversations about him. dont like the 3 songs you've heard? thats fine. that doesn't mean you have any sort of authority when it comes to his music. hope that makes sense.

Dec 27, 2015 Wow. Really? So if I listen to a dozen songs and don't like one of them, it doesn't matter? Nobody is going to listen to somebody when they are 0 for 12 except you. He is not at all well received by critics. He's around 80% based on reviews based on almost nobody even bothering to rate him., He has very few reviews because the majority of people don't even bother rating his s---, because nobody cares.. Who gives a f--- what Elton John says?
Dec 27, 2015 Wow... Most people did a horrendous job at defending TPAB in this thread. Also, can we stop praising TPAB for its "complexity" when the theme/motifs throughout the album are pretty simple to grasp. To p---- A Butterfly isn't the da vinci code for heaven's sake. Where the album excels is through the variety of moods Kendrick sets with each song/verse. TPAB doesn't play quite like a movie like GKMC did but more like a live play with Kendrick as the protagonist. Kendrick's ability to tell his story post GKMC while touching on topics like self-love, respect, racism, discrimination, etc. is unique and inspiring.

Dec 27, 2015 i have spent my entire morning listening to thugger songs going off Freaky and youtube sidebar he is nice..and i understand why he has a cult..he makes music that certain people can obssess over..and i def. can see myself become a fan if i keep going BUT i def. understand why some people might not f--- with him...he is a worse case of "Drake"..where people either get him or hate him..i feel thugger can be twice as bad of a case

Nobody likes Young Thug, and nobody needs to prove it to you. What, people need to record themselves listening to every Young Thug song and not enjoying it to convince you? You need video proof of people listening to every Young Thug song and not enjoying it?
