Dec 25, 2015 yeah that's what's happening here, you moron. you said young thug isn't a good rapper and i "can't respond." i've written thousands of words that argue the contrary and have also laid out a pretty clear case on this message board. which i shouldn't have to--it should be self-evident, to anyone with even a shred of taste. if you think the guy "has no buzz," you're just outing yourself as being thoroughly out of touch. (also lol @ how lazy/terrible perry's gotten at building an argument. "i think future is good but you hype him up. his tape with drake flopped.)
Dec 25, 2015 Why is giving credit to Young Thug wrong just because it isn't on his album? C'mon, without Thugger that song wouldn't be what it is.
Dec 25, 2015 I didn't say it was wrong to give him credit, its a great song and yes obviously it wouldn't of been the same without him but at the end of the day he was just a feature on it so it was Jamie xx's brain child not thugs.
Dec 25, 2015 well first of all, perry is arguing that kendrick is the rapper of the year off the strength of not only his album, but his guest verses. so i don't see how guest appearances should be excluded. second, it's a jaime xx song, but thug is the lead vocalist. i'd say it's pretty fair to treat it as more his creation than a song where the rapper shows up, does 16, and leaves.
Dec 25, 2015 I don't see how Perry's argument comes into this, although i do agree with that reasoning, i was replying to Narsh's comment that young thug has song of the year with good life, when he doesn't he features on it.
Dec 25, 2015 Regarding that logic, the only right answer is clearly Eminem. The biggest fanbase is without a doubt definitely his one.
Dec 25, 2015 Yeah, young thug isn't a good rapper. And I think I'm in the solid majority when I say that. And you literally just said I only listen to 7 rappers which is completely false. I'm pretty sure my CD collection is larger than yours. Anyways, merry Christmas.
Dec 25, 2015 Thugger remains my favorite of these, and also had an incredible run this year, but speaking objectively, I think 2015 belonged to Future.
