Can we all take a second to appreciate the greatness of Wesley's Theory though? Boris Gardiner's sample to Liemberg's intro to Kendrick's first verse. Flows so smoothly.

it is also the highest rated of the decade on rateyourmusic and thats not a critic site, its a list generated by thousand of people's ratings.

And that's just an example.

The hate only come because kendrick did something more jazzy that the mainstream listeners were never going to get into... but that doesn't take anything away from the album as it has some of the best jazz elements in music history.

It has nothing to do with the fans... tpab is the highest rated album of all time and most of those who gave it a perfect score aren't even kendrick fans.

Just because the guy went to absurd lengths to break down kendricks flow doesn't mean it's that complex. You can literally do that with hundreds of rappers.

Not their fault if kendrick dropped one of the best albums of all time. Sure it's not as accessible as gkmc, but it's still a way better album.

Are the kendrick fans not supposed to link all these end year lists ranking TPAB #1? thats what everybody would say. The way I see it, some people just feel insecure about their favorite artists not having any praise (and they don't even deserve it)

Also, like someone said before, I don't see the kendrick fans trying to turn people off. If anything the kendrick fans are posting what professional and artists/musicians are saying about this album which let me think that Sizzza may be right when he says some people are hating because they're not qualified to talk about it.

Illmatic haters usually don't know what to say, they always trying to reach for the stars, its the same s--- for the kanye haters, its the same s--- for the pac haters and right now it's the same s--- about the tpab haters.

And as far as I'm concerned, I was a huge fan of GKMC but I'm sorry, TPAB makes gkmc sounds like a mixtape and I probably like gkmc more . TPAB is just that good, it's quality can't be matched by any other kendrick project

A lot of rock fans don't like James brown but it doesn't make his albums any less goat.
