Dec 27, 2015 I mean yeah, out of all albums this year, TPAB gave me best the first listen, but it kinda lost it's replay value fairly quickly. It's still a good album imo, but definitely not AOTY or anything
Dec 27, 2015 eh i wouldn't worry. even as someone who doesn't think To p---- a Butterfly is very good, kendrick is a phenomenal rapper and artist. good kid, m.A.A.d. city is one of the best albums of the decade. it's not just weirdo cult losers who love him, nor should it be.
Dec 27, 2015 I'd agree with TPAB not having great replay value, but that's mostly due to length and some of its denseness. It's not just an album that you can throw on whenever, you gotta get in the mood for it. Yeah I'm definitely not worried, but it's just like f---, these are also the people who love the album too? But with an album as acclaimed and popular as TPAB, it's bound to happen.
Dec 27, 2015 Asked it twice in the other thread but would also like sizzza to explain the 5 criteria for music to sound good. It could change my music listening experience forever
Dec 27, 2015 About a month ago I told besky that TPAB clearly had some inspirations from Outkast after he said Kendrick totally "revolutionized" hip hop. To which he said "it's not about who did it first it's about who did it right" I'll never read his posts again
