Apr 2, 2016 tpab really made me realize kendrick is now in a league of his own so much better than anything he has ever done from an objective standpoint
Apr 2, 2016 The crazy thing is that this isn't an exaggeration. I think s80 is amazing as well but yeah, Tpab will always be praised as his greatest accomplishment, as a team accomplishment. Glasper and Washington are amazing musicians, plus they brought their favorite musicians with them (drummers, violinists, etc). Terrace Martin really put together The Avengers of jazz music with this. Plus George Clinton and Ron Isley lol. Crazy. Martin Connor may be right when he says it might be the greatest album in rap history. It's not the one with the biggest impact or the best rapping, but it's the album with the best music
Apr 2, 2016 tbh Kendrick's production team deserves more credits. Tpab is basically a collection of some of the best jazz musicians, including arguably the two best today (Glasper and Washington) doing whatever they want with a seven figure budget. He literally did what he couldn't do with section 80
Apr 2, 2016 kendrick stans sometimes need to realise an album that isnt godly can come across godly due to the impact made during tough parts of their lifes. music is subjective, for example gkmc cheered me up in a period of time where i needed that, so it has a place in my heart and will always be my favourite, nomatter how much better TPAB is. music is all about experiances, if you can relate to a great album, it suddenly becomes godly because of how it impacted you as a person
Apr 2, 2016 Yeah , TBTB and Mortal Man outro were extended, s--- was dope as f--- whole album is dope
Apr 2, 2016 It really was and I'm fine with kendrick making hiphop/rock music as long as its not on his albums
