Jan 5, 2016 Narsh's list in a nut shell 1991 Winner: Young Thug. Born this year had the best baby cry flow out there. Drake was already 5 years old and couldn't cry near that level. His cries were overrated and all sounded the same.
Jan 5, 2016 you know what's funny about the list? look at how their stated criteria changes through the years.
Jan 5, 2016 The way they presented this list is great, the artwork is awesome. I'm currently reading through all of these and some of their reasoning's are just s---. They change up what they look for so much that would make someone the best that year. And yeah, Complex is notorious for those bs stories lol.
Jan 5, 2016 Good Kid Maad City was better though I mean, Logic did just make a s-----y, watered down version of GKMC with UP. Bit Kendrick so hard on that one.
Jan 5, 2016 And jesus christ, can we please stop acting like Drake bodied Meek? Meek did more damage to himself than Drake could have ever done. Back 2 Back isn't a diss track either
Jan 5, 2016 Comparison is between Nicki and Logic. Tho Logic bit Kendrick, he still did better work than Nicki.
Jan 5, 2016 Logic is the most boring, generic rapper. I'll listen to Nicki over that rubix cube solving snooze fest any day.
Jan 5, 2016 Only other legitimate contenders for 2015 are Future & Thug. You could make the argument for Kendrick being the better rapper, but Drake's 2015 was no doubt been more successful/eventful. Two No. 1 debuts (If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, What a Time to Be Alive with Future), first-ever Grammy-nominated diss track in “Back to Back,”“Hotline Bling” highest-charting solo single (tied with “Best I Ever Had”), launched OVO Sound Radio on Beats 1, guest verses on “Blessings,”“Where Ya At,” “R.I.C.O.,” “100” Not to mention 1st album to hit a milli , along with his demolition of Meek. His 2015 is impressive regardless if you disagree with the choice to crown him for the year. Future had a stellar year—but Drake gave him a plaque, on cruise control, no less.
Jan 5, 2016 Oh yeah, him getting the 2015 spot is completely understandable, just definitely should have gone to someone else. Nicki in 2014 tho... yeah I just can't see that at all.
Jan 5, 2016 Meek hurt himself more than Drake. And I don't think the WWE could have done anything about him sampling that in the first place, the song wasn't for sale.
Jan 5, 2016 Logic is not noteworthy at all and shouldn't be considered for 'best rapper alive' with the quality of projects he's putting out and overall lasting impact he's achieved with each release (aka not much, t-ts just came and went and UP basically turned him into a meme)
