    If I had to pick one, I'd probably go with David Lynch. Even with a rather small feature filmography, he has more of my favorite films than any director. Plus with their mysterious atmosphere and ambiguity, I could rewatch his films over and over.

    Sentimentally, Linklater or PTA. Malick, Trier & Wilder have all captivated me pretty deeply as of late.
