Jan 10, 2016 It would lead to some pretty awkward moments. I produce everything in FL Studio and then I record in Audition. I don't know, I find Audition easier for recording Audio than FL Studio since FL Studio doesn't have to do crazy processing for the virtual instruments and plugins I'm using while at the same time recording my voice. I do export the instrumentals in 32-bit float so I can adjust the audio levels without an obvious clip appearing; maybe I should start to lower the volume levels of the instrumental before doing anything first.
Jan 10, 2016 i mean i see what you mean, I just always mix vocals into the track with FL you could still do what you're doing now, just don't be applying FX and s--- to the track once it's in audition and you've got the beat how you want it from FL
Jan 10, 2016 You could produce, add fx and mix the whole intrumental in FL Studio, just remember to compress it once in Audition
Jan 10, 2016 u and @Translucent the only ones I know of tbh, i'm sure there's more but FL definitely outnumbers here
Jan 10, 2016 It's more fast paced and user friendly I like it but logic is used in more studios so I rather use that - DP
Jan 10, 2016 see, the first time I tried FL i had no f---ing clue what I was doing, deleted that s--- immediately from my school laptop lol second time was a few years back and i picked it up almost instantly can't imagine working in anything else. i actually have an edition of ableton i could use that came with an interface i bought but i tried it and couldn't even figure out how pick my drums and moved on back to FL
Jan 10, 2016 Yeah Ableton is probably the most complex DAW out there next to Pro Tools. A good number of producers and rappers I know use either Ableton or Logic. Once you know what youre doing in Ableton though that things a f---ing beast. I tried FL a couple weeks ago (this time I knew what I was doing - I studied up) and I still didn't care for it lol. I think it's the layout of s---.
Jan 10, 2016 see thats why i love FL it's layout, it's so incredibly intuitive for me and I know all the little tricks and s--- with it now too so I can build s--- up like nothing
