I get that it is the same thing going on for kyrie that is for Kobe but I don't like it. I like that the fans are voting Kobe in. It's his last year and he has done so much in the league while on the other hand kyrie is young and doesn't deserve to be voted in if he hasn't played. At this point in his career he is not on the same level as Kobe and most likely never will be. it's just not fair to others that may have been playing well but don't get voted in because he takes their place

We are nearly a month away from the NBA All-Star Weekend heading over to the 6!

So to build up the anticipation, I thought that we should start some discussion about it. I think that the biggest story prior to this event is whether Kyrie Irving (who has just returned from injury) should play? So far he has been racking in all of the fans votes, but there are still a lot of fans that disagree with that due to Irving not playing enough games. John Wall isn't happy with it either, considering that he's a competitor for that spot and has been playing well all season, he feels that the All Star line ups so be determined on how well they have been playing well during the season than letting the fans decide.

What do you guys think?

My opinion: I love John Wall, but it would be hypocritical for me to think Irving shouldn't play because I really want Kobe to play as well. Even though Kobe has played most of the season, he's getting in the same way Irving is by the fans.

The all star game is a popularity contest and always has been, I don't know why people still get so upset over it. Remember Yao Ming used to get voted in every year just cuz he's from China? He could go the whole year being injured and he'd still get voted in.

Kobe deserves it and has been playing a lot better lately anyways, plus it's an exhibition game so who really cares that much anyways. It should be fun to watch though, I want to see Kobe's last all star performance and see the plays he makes with Curry, Durant, etc on his team.
