Jan 12, 2016 If his catalog is mediocre doesn't take away that once he was fantastic. He made 3 great albums, surrounded by amazing features/side projects. But you can't ignore the fact that he has been average-bad for more than 10 years. So overal catalog (what the OP says) is not that great. Especially not compared to Kanye, Jay, Nas etc.

Dont ignore that bowie/dadrock analogy either, which people like to pretend that they all had gleaming great careers with no turds in their discos, yet are still goats.

Jan 12, 2016 Em has a shot a 1 because the first three, just depends on how much you hate his recent work lol. I think if he stops after recovery he's arguably the top discog based on the strength of the first three but mmlp2 really tipped that scale for me. If k dot continues h--- likely be 1 for me. He has a wow factor I can't find in Kanye. But ye's the top spot right now based on consistency. Gotta put dre in this mix as well. 3 outstanding albums Edit: actually Kanye did wow me one time on the og diamonds from Sierra Leone. How anyone can listen to that then say ye hasn't fallen off drastically is beyond me. That whole verse is just nasty

Jan 12, 2016 I agree with Koolo's list but might even throw Wayne in before Cole or Drake if we are talking about entire discographies. On an unrelated note, Kanye has the best/most consistent discography in hip hop imo, but I still get the feeling Swish is going to be his worst album to date. If so, it's somehow the Kardashian's fault. I really hope I'm wrong though.
