Jan 13, 2016 i doubt it. rappers don't get better with age and some of his latest material--songs like all day and wolves don't suggest that "swish is gonna be so good". neither does yeezus--which was his last album and looks to be the start of his downfall. i mean, kanye has been riding off his reputation for a while now. he desperately needs to redeem himself and i hope he does---but i'm not optimistic about it.
Jan 13, 2016 Huh? I was replying to enigma who said that mmlp2 is just as good as coles studio albums, which I don't agree with
Jan 13, 2016 Strictly discographies I would rank them Kendrick (3 for 3 so far) Kanye (Graduation and Yeezus were misses for me) Eminem (3 of the best rap albums ever, then a bunch of stuff that is scattered all over the map) Cole (His tapes were classic, couple of his projects underrated) Drake (Early work also solid) Thug Future
Jan 13, 2016 This is actually kind of difficult. Kanye is easily #1. Eminem has a disadvantage of having more time to release s-----y albums, whereas we don't know where Thug, Future, Drake, and Kendrick are going yet, so they have a leg up in terms of quality releases. J Cole is last.
Jan 13, 2016 It sounds corny. The beat itself sounds dated af and lines talking about kids being so sad that they wanna k--- themselves but then listen to eminem and they're fine. s--- might make you feel some type of way but it does nothing to me.
Jan 13, 2016 Yeah as a 25 year old I can say I don't ever want to listen to this song really. Say Goodbye Hollywood still dope AF though.
Jan 13, 2016 i agree totally. another thing is that some discographies are gonna be much longer than others---which is why ranking their discographies isn't the best method IMO. i think if you're gonna rank these guys you should go by their best work. for example, i could never put young thug, future, drake or j cole ahead eminem or kanye because none of them have a solo project that left me speechless the way MMLP and the college dropout did after the first couple times i listened to them.
Jan 13, 2016 Well this thread is still going. Eminem has 3 classics in his discography where most of these artist don't have any. Even though I don't listen to his music anymore it's surely worth giving credit to him.
