    what does it mean to imitate someone with no propriatary sound?

    aren't they just trying to imitate wayne or kanye then?

    yes i can hear kanye all over rodeo
    i can not hear kanye all over any of drake's studio albums

    i use kanye because imo he is not only the common influence, but also the greatest influence to both of them

    it's effectively the same thing as imitating someone who's wholly original. if bryson tiller hears drake and goes "i can do that," and models himself after drake, he's imitating drake, however drake arrived at his sound. i think you're over-complicating this.
