Jan 18, 2016 sheeesh By that statement I meant that Kendricks verse was from around that time but I can see how that's worded poorly, I'll edit it thanks I read that the beat was handed to Kanye around 2010, which I guess is when Kanye came up with the hook? And Kendrick record his verse a few years later, and Kanye put the finishing touches/his verse this year? I'm a bit confused on the timeline
Jan 18, 2016 just wanted to clarify. it's entirely possible kendrick recorded his verse later, but kanye had the beat in late 09, and kendrick spent a bit of 09 working on sessions for The Blueprint 3. so maybe it was added later, but kanye and kendrick were probably around each other in that era.

Jan 18, 2016 didn't realize this song was in the works for so long. Kendricks verse was kinda disappointing to me, kinda reminds me of his "love game" verse. When another big artist like kanye or Em tries to take him out of his element of hard hitting verses and instead talk about lighter subject matter, it seems like he struggles. I still enjoyed Kanyes verse at the end and madlib production.I love graduation and am not a big fan of yeezus, so if the rest of SWISH is like this I'll enjoy it more than yeezus. Nice writeup tho
