Jan 19, 2016 so refreshing hearing thug over some more basic production, i like him over these types of beats than the trap ones that thump. you get such a greater appreciation of his voice on joints like this.
Jan 19, 2016 the future tape is actually very good, but it sounds completely different with this mixed version. but yeah, theres a handful of throwaways that i would group with the first 3 songs on WATTBA. but most of it is fantastic, perkys calling is going to go down as a top 10 track from this year I think.
Jan 19, 2016 a lot of what made his 2015 projects work is the narrative he developed from monster and the way he built off of it. purple reign isnt even in the same breath as his last three solo tapes, so im really concerned as to why they felt it was worth dropping if im being honest. i obviously f--- with a lot of the tracks, and its gonna be in rotation, but i hope this isn't their standard for 2016.
