Feb 1, 2016 I guess you're just talking about the people on this site? cuz most Eminem fans I know usually give every album a listen, they just don't like them. I guess they're most likely going to enjoy hip hop songs with a lot of complex rhymes... but that doesn't mean they're not giving other artists a chance.
Feb 1, 2016 really, I don't even like Eminem (or at least his new music) but its all about preferences and there's honestly nothing wrong with enjoying eminem & similar artists and noy enjoying trap music (or other subgenres) at all...and vice versa.
Feb 1, 2016 I hate the generalization of eminems fans get. People imply if Eminem is ur fav artist ur immediately shunned for having a musical opinion
Feb 1, 2016 I think it can be though. How else would you explain the amount of Eminem fans that listen to other artists related to him in some way. If someone on here has an Eminem related username or avatar you can just about guarantee their top 5 rappers is something as cringe as 1. Eminem 2. 50 cent 3. Dre 4. Game 5. Dre
Feb 1, 2016 well Em fans here are generally not as bad some other sites...i know a site that voted yelawolf album as AOTY and majority loved D12 mixtape
Feb 1, 2016 Honestly I don't care if people exclusively listen to Shady Records artists it just sucks that most fans think Eminem and Royce are what defines hip hop and they judge music by how similar it is to Em
Feb 1, 2016 I know that site too and it wasn't voted aoty it was voted the 2nd best album of 2015. It's still bad though, I give you that
Feb 1, 2016 The point is though, that 50/game/teal wolf/Eminem aren't similar but still fall into the same reoccurring top 5s shared by majority of Eminem fans.
Feb 1, 2016 I honestly know of like 3 posters with what you guys are saying about What Eminem fans think. A vast vast majority of the fans know Eminem is trash now but still follow him. At least on this site
Feb 1, 2016 But really it seems like the worst offenders only exist online. I have a friend irl who only listens to 90s rap, Eminem, and southern s--- like Trae and Slim Thug, and I showed him some modern artists and explained how they're good despite not following traditional formulas and now his two favorite songs to play are About The Money and Cell Boomin
Feb 1, 2016 @Koolo I know you're in your thug phase but you can't say that or the exact opposite is also true. One could say that the young thug fans only listen to young thug and artists affiliated to him. It's way too fuckng easy to say "yeah, I heard that new eminem, its trash" It's one thing to listen, it's another one to understand.
