Kanye West Best Posts: I feel like Kanye not dropping the album last night killed a large percentage of the hype.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still looking forward to the album, but the hype train had such great momentum, especially since he was dropping all these bits and pieces of appetizers -- the Twitter posts, the fashion show, good Friday, etc. I think a lot of people were really amped for the release, some even fighting sleep by staying up til midnight to catch the last-minute release.

    And then nothing.

Like, yes, I get it. Better to have a good product than a rushed product, but it's such a blow to the excitement because nothing came from it. It's like if someone was making you cookies for the first time in two years and, d---, it's your favorite recipe and you're standing by the oven and you're salivating to the smell of it because it just got done cooking.....and then that person takes the tray, dumps all the cookies in the trash, and then goes "if you wait one more day I can get you a better recipe".

That's how it feels, at least for me. Do I still want the cookies? Yeah. Are they gonna be done with a better recipe? Most likely. Am I as hyped as I was for that last batch? Nah. At this point I'll take store bought.
