sorry but comparing dre to kanye to me it's just not right.
kanye is wayyyy more than a producer, and he can be a great lyricist

^ this is comparing apples and oranges, Kanye is incredibly unique- 2pac and dre are from the age of gangsta rap which died with kanye, a who had a middle class childhood, came to prominence. still, comparing kanye to Pac is ridiculous.

and yea Kanye can be a great lyricist at time but just look at some of the lines off TLOP and Yeezus, and he still doesn't have a great flow- he's made rap more melodic despite his use of autotune since he can't sing which is very admirable- rap is becoming more songcraft

I used to think T.I. was the Souths 2Pac, then he got too involved with pop music lmao. Freddie Gibbs, Jay Eoectrinica (pre-2013) & Game are more like Pac than Kendrick or Kanye

I don't think Kanye or Kendrick even want to be "the next Pac". I think both artists have strong enough personalities where they would like to be recognized as themselves, judging off the fact that they both use their actual names when creating music.

And I don't think Pac would have wanted a new Pac. He mentioned in an interview that he may not be the person to change things but he might be the person to spark the idea in the person who can (not verbatim). Which alludes to me that he doesn't want his music to create followers, but to create leaders.

Also 2Pac got his roots from growing up poor in the east, not necessarily g--- culture in the west.
