    maybe. there's just so much discord on the album. its like he didnt know what direction to pursue overall so he relied on sounds/schematics from past albums. so its like a greatest hits album except new material, if that makes sense.

    yeezus material works best as part of an overall album. idk

    this is basically what i said the album would be months ago lol. a sprawling mess that encompasses all his styles to date

    /shrug i like it though. definitely not in the same league as his top 3. but neither are many rap albums

    Agreed fam, agreed entirely. f---ing love this rollout, it's been an exhilarating experience, unlike any other album release I've ever seen. There might not be an artist as unpredictable as Ye, I can't track his next move, it's incredible.

    What didn't you like about Waves? It's a bit out of place on the tracklist and I wouldn't mind another Ye verse, but besides that I think it's good as is.

    Nah, that was over 2 years ago. I've had a girlfriend since. We lived together at one point.

    I just told my family what had been happening and got appropriate help. Kind of uneventful.

    Seclusion, drafting and redrafting my note, not showering, not eating, manic episodes where I'd clean stuff, staying awake for long periods until I crashed in deep sleeps, living on coffee and cigarettes, paranoia, etc.

    Yeah, that was early on. I was writing music still and have folders and folders of suicidal stuff on my Google Drive. Eventually that all felt like vanity and I stopped.
