    Whenever an album comes out, people tend to have extreme reactions. It's a good album. It's not trash. It's nowhere near a classic. But it's good.

    The problem with this whole Kanye thing is it's sort of like Tarantino. You have a creative guy, with a strong line-up of works and a signature style. But at some point you end up with people being so caught up in "the Tarantino feeling" and the "the Kanye feeling" that the work isn't properly evaluated.

    It's like a religious cult so focused on the messenger, that they completely forgot the message. It looks like Kanye got so wrapped up in the idea of being a genius that he forgot some of the elements which brought him his acclaim in the first place.

    The term classic is thrown around too much

    I reserve it for special albums

    TLOP hasn't given me that feeling yet. Maybe when version 1.2 comes out

    No album is a "classic" 2 weeks after it was released. And this album isn't even very good.

    It's not a classic, no. Could have been if he sat on it for another month or so and perfected it instead of rushing it out in Feb.

    Still love the album though

    The build up and roll out of SHMG/Swish/Waves/TLOP is classic in itself.

    And it's still not over.
