I just wanted to vent about it fam. I consider some of you close enough to be my internet family, and I've posted about plenty of personal matters before. But that is why no names are in this. I'm just sort of f----- up about it rn and there's not really anyone to talk about it with.

Neither do they. It's really not as simple as them 'forgiving' an abuser.

He's come to the forum to release some of his thoughts and feelings on this, which show that he does need to talk about it. We can be here to show him support and let him know we are thinking of him and his fam but everybody takes things different. Maybe he needs some coping mechanisms if there are feelings of guilt over their past relationship and what might have been, maybe just letting it out here will be good enough. Who knows, it's not as if seeing somebody about it is going to do him any harm.
One of his family members nearly died, and in what would have been a tragic, preventable way. Personally, I would see that as something that would probably affect a lot of people to some degree.



@Cyreides, my thoughts go out to your cousins. To witness that sort of thing is unimaginable. As much as it will f--- with her, at least she was there to save her mums life. I hope with all my heart that this is turning point in your aunts life. It's devastating that she has had to go through this. The best thing you could do is to be there for her, show her support and let her know that you are there if she needs it. I hope to god that she doesn't get back into any situations like this, not just for herself but for the sake of her daughters.

why the f--- wouldn't he? im obviously not saying lil homie NEEDS it, but what happened to his aunt is bound to be a traumatic experience for the entire family. if my aunt was beaten to near death u can be certain i'd want to talk to a professional about it.

Ok.. there was a restraining order at one time, yes? That's not out of nowhere.. to me anyhow. Feel for your aunt, family and yourself. The heinousness of the crime is abhorrent.

Get into therapy asap. You might not feel the need to, but this is some heavy s--- that you'll want to talk about with a professional. I had a friend in the 7th grade who had an aunt murdered by his Uncle in a homicide/suicide case. It f----- him up for years.

Before anyone asks, he's in jail on felony charges, assault and battery, domestic violence etc. She's pushing for attempted murder too...
