I was watching this earlier and I agree with alot of the points that Charlamagne brought up. Ever since the Meek W Drake has been walking a very thin line between confidence and arrogance. He flat out said that he has become Jay and considering Jay-Z is a f---ing legend and will go down as one of the best rappers OAT how can Drake compare to him considering that most of the general fans don't consider any of his albums classic.

Drake also says on a line on a song that isn't out atm that could be on Views. "Because you know im better than all of them other n----s" "I want you to be unfaithful right now" It's obvious that right now Drake is feeling himself and it's not hard to see why. He is the biggest rapper artist on the planet and one of the biggest artists atm in general. He managed to get to #2 with a song about a f---ing cell phone. But when other rappers were feeling themselves when they were on top they already had albums that were labeled classics. Tbh the only rapper of this generation that has a real classic is Kendrick (GKMC) imo. I feel personally that with Views coming in around 3 weeks if it isn't a cemented classic loads of the casual fans and hip-hop heads are going to be done with him especially with this new Savage Drizzy image.

The boy got too much pressure on him going into Views SZN

an individual doesnt decide whether or not an album is classic...but there's no doubt that drake has a classic. A classic is like an essential album for its generation, it's basically the most essential albums of the year it dropped.

Kanye's albums, Kendrick's albums, Drake's albums, Future's projects, young thug's projects...so far this decade is all about these 5 artists

ou look at the most acclaimed albums and the ones that had the biggest impact and/or the ones that influenced other artists, and you have the classics of this decade.

Kanye: Mbdtf & yeezus
Young Thug: Barter 6, SS1
Kendrick: Tpab & gkmc
Drake: Take Care & SFG
Future: Ds2, monster, beast mode

Yeah I get thats what he meant that he is at the same stature as Jay at that point but is he really though? Jay was on top with cemented classics

The real truth is Drake been this way for a while now. He's just completely owning it as a persona now.

I have no problem with the Jay-Z comments considering he's just saying he's the Jay-Z of today. People gonna overreact and think that mean he's literally saying he's Jay-Z, but It's not that serious.

I have no problems with rappers think they're confident because they should. Just give me great music and we're good to go.

All of them are classics though... it's not about what you personally like, it's about what is classic for the hip hop culture.

I don't like some of these albums, but it is what it is.
