BLM was never the hate mongering crusade the conservatives painted it as.

The severity of white privilege has died down and we are at a better point than we've ever been but every single problem levied at the black community (black on black murder, crime, drug usage, poverty) is a result of white people's treatment of them from the nations induction until the 60's, and there was still blatant racism until after the 80's so it's a fair point to say black people have been put into a disadvantaged state moreso than white people.

White privilege (or white skin privilege) is a term for societal privileges that benefit white people in western countries beyond what is commonly experienced by non-white people under the same social, political, or economic circumstances.

To declare such a thing is ignorant on it’s best day. White people climb the social and economic ladders every day. They spend years busting their butts, working two jobs, going to college, paying loans back that blacks don’t have to, sacrificing material objects and scrimping and saving. And because white people tend to do this more often than black people, there must be some sort of conspiracy against the black communities. Yeah, let’s give it a really dirty name. We will call it, White Privilege!

That is so ignorant it’s almost laughable. White people face the same diversities that black people do, barring possible ghetto g--- banging neighborhoods. To say that white people have the problem of whiteness and don’t even know it because they are white is …. well …. obtuse. When you watch a movie many times, you memorize the script. It’s much the same with people who play the “race card”. They have no new material so everything they are saying could be recited by the general public before they say it. It used to work but now it just looks like you are grasping at straws when you claim ignorant s--- like “white privilege”.

I don't think it's a matter of resorting. Just because you've never done it, doesn't mean it's not an appropriate means to get to know someone.

Just because you're comfortable with real time interaction doesn't mean everyone else is. I've tried it all dude before I got married, so don't be so quick to judge someone because they want to get to know someone through social media, especially in the times we live in now.
