Man I was with the low OVR to start because they made it seem like a ton of moments cards with high ratings would follow..the whole point of myteam is to get crazy cards, who tf is hyped to get and play with an 84 OVR card? He need to drop 60 just to be a 90? So stupid.

I just picked this up last night for Black Friday. Got a couple questions for you guys @Poohdini @YDB

I only played 1 game of the 99/2000 Raptors (me) against the 76ers (comp on Pro as I'm a rookie here lol). I will start by saying I play exclusively offline for 2K so hopefully you guys can answer some of these questions.

1) Is it just me or do the players seem to kind of "glide" on the court? I had issues with this before. I found older games my players could stick with guys on defense. I'm using L2 the defensive stance to stick with them and at times L2 and R2 for the quick defense but sometimes it feels like my player has too much momentum and keeps going.

2) I have found in the last 2k's I played (2K15 more, 2K16 a bit) that my players on offense would constantly cut or move around. They don't do that in this version much. Do i need to run plays similar to how 2K11 was where it seemed like you needed to run more plays than freestyle pass around lots?

3) Is it me or is the NBA 2K14 s--- passing back? I was up by 10 and a guy cutting to the hoop for a open slam I pass it and he fumbles the ball only for it to go out of bounds. This happened about 2 or 3 times and got my lead cut down to 4.

4) Is there the old kind of 90's Midway/Acclaim AI? I was up by 10 at Halftime then going into the 3rd I couldn't score for s--- but the AI (and rightfully so AI himself as I was playing the 76ers) was hitting 3's in double coverage and just couldn't miss.

5) Last one and I apologize for my wall of text here but have they changed the energy system? I only played a 6 minute game and noticed that it almost takes forever or guys to recover. Now, is this just new? I remember in older 2k's you'd sub them out and they'd get to 100% energy. But I think collectively my guys were in the 60's in the 4th and even trying to sub them in I hd no one really fresh. I could see this as a game mechanic to slow down the high scoring in later quarter games but for a 6 minute game I almost had to sit VC or McGrady for a whole quarter for them to play half decent again.

They definitley changed defense this year, its much hard to lock on to your man when playin on ball, it takes a little while to adjust to that but eventually you get it.

I dont play muchh offline, but i have noticed the AI got worse at off ball s---, u can use triangle to send players to cut tho which i find helpful alot cause for whatever reason big men just camp out at the 3 line

That energy s--- only really happens when i play someone with brusier on

Yeah like I know from older 2k's you'd want to use your timeouts strategically to get an energy boost for your guys on the floor when closing a game out. Well I did this and NO energy boost at all. So ending the game VC and McGrady were at a 66 energy wise even after taking 2 timeouts in a row to help boost them. In 2K15 specifically if you had a guy in the 70's for example and took a timeout he'd be in the high 70' or low 80's with energy. But this one from my one game I noticed no change :S.

I'll def. play around with it more though, I have to get used to it for sure. I remember thinking NBA 2K9 was difficult back on PS3 then getting used to it, it was quite easy. I just noticed my guys kind of slide on defense.

Nah I sold it. My brother got one, and basically everyone I know has one so I just didn't see a point in having it if I can't play online with anyone. GOAT controller but it was time to go.

This game sucks anyway. Out of all the 2K's i didn't enjoy this one at all. I only play it when I have friends over & regret buying it tbh.

They tried too hard to be like Madden. I get why they didn't want all the high cards available early but that's kinda the whole point of pre-ordering and finishing up like domination & gauntlet, so you can get 90+ OVR players ASAP.

Idk, I traded in my XB1 for a PS4 a few weeks ago so I'm gonna give MyTeam another shot since there's a ton of cards out now.
