nothing worse than getting accused of being a bandwagoner when your team starts doing good

this is a pet peeve of mine. can't stand a d--- bandwagon fan. every team (assuming they are really good at some point) acquires bandwagon fans. it just naturally happens once a team is really successful---but with certain teams its FAR worse than others.

this usually comes in two forms. (1) the person either doesn't care/ losses interest when the team isn't playing well/has s----d for a long period of time OR (2) the person starts liking a team just because they're doing really well and everyone else likes them.

now, bandwagon fans are usually easy to identify because they typically don't know something that a fan of sports team should know. i understand that everyone isn't a hardcore fan of a sports team, and that's perfectly fine. but regardless of whether you're a hardcore or casual fan, you should still know basic things like who the main players are. its not like i'm asking them to name every name on the teams entire roster.

like my cousin for example. he likes the cowboys. in fact, it seems like almost everyone in my family likes the cowboys, i wonder why. :roll eyes: one day i texted him about sean lee getting injured for the season again (this was a few years ago) and he didn't know who i was talking about. how the f--- are you gonna be a cowboys fan and not know who the f--- sean lee is! its not like he's a third string player or some no-name guy---he's one of their best defensive players and has been on the team for years!

    I CAN'T STAND THIS s---!

If you can't name at least 2 offensive linemen, you're a poser fan

    no, it doesn't.

i'm a hardcore vikings fan and i don't know the name of every member of the team. 53 names is obviously a lot to keep up with

all i'm saying is.....as a fan of team......ppl should know basic things like who their starters are (or at least the majority of them) and who the head coach is and what not

    yeah, couldn't agree more.

this is the best way (when you're talking football) to know if a fan knows their stuff..........ask them to name the offensive lineman

offensive lineman obviously don't get a lot of attention. but just about everyone knows who the QB or WR is.......s---, even my mom knows those guys!
