May 3, 2016 CoD started off as an unrealistic arcadey WW2 game that turned stale until they made it an unrealistic arcadey modern game that turned s--- due to horrible balancing. If the change in time is the only issue you have then you're not looking deep enough, in fact I'd say the shift to futuristic would be a GOOD change if the core gameplay hadn't become horribly unbalanced.

May 3, 2016 Thinking I may wait to buy this. After thinking about it I can see there being "server issues" first few days to force players to try the new game. No one is buying this just for the new game. Everyone will be on the remastered from day 1.
May 4, 2016 I think I'd be into this if it wasn't a call of duty title. I liked call of duty when it was war based and not full of the futuristic stuff, I think they could do a realistic war game and still make it super cool.
May 5, 2016 The fact that they need to bundle a remastered Cod 4 to move units shows how stale the formula is getting imo. COD4 was the peak, then all they did was try to milk the s--- out of the franchise, let go of the original IW team and completely f----- up the balance. As bad as I wanna relive the Cod 4 days I can't give Activision or IW a single dollar for what they did to the franchise.
May 5, 2016 Oh no I know commercially it was a success, just like bundling the remastered COD4 is a very smart business move that will result in larger sales. But those business moves aren't necessarily in gamers' best interests. I felt MW2 was the start of these DLC attempts to milk the players for all their dollars and the franchise only kept going in that direction rehashing the same formula and finding ways to make an easy buck.
May 9, 2016 I don't get all the hate for the direction they've been going with these, I like all the advanced futuristic s---. I am genuinely excited for Infinite War just as much as I am the remaster.
