May 7, 2016The Red Bull Music Academy is known for making some of the best interviews, with amazing guests, and today was no exception. During a live interview with the Red Bull Music Academy today, Madlib announced that he’s working on his second collaboration album with Freddie Gibbs, titled Bandana.
The incredible duo put out their first collaborative album, Piñata, in 2014. The album received critical acclaim, leaving fans of the artists and music wanting more. Freddie Gibbs and Madlib have both stated that they hoped to work together again on a project, and it looks like that is actually coming into fruition.
Even though Madlib just announced this on the air, a release date wasn’t specified. However, Bandana will quickly become one of the most anticipated albums to come out.

this is life changing, i am a different person now
madlib beats on this are something else man, easily best produced album of past few years, they seem like so dirty, like you are in some forgotten bar covered in smoke
its better than I thought and my expectations were extremely high -

Thought this album was gonna be a cliche forgotten footnote in the same vein as Detox and so on, I'm just so happy this even saw the light of day
The album itself? This s--- is everything I was hoping to hear, and much more! Gibbs sounds otherworldly other these off-kilter beats, I swear Madlib just never ceases to amaze me--there's a real craftsmanship to these instrumentals that no one else comes even remotely close to replicating -
