no i listen to lyrical content, not some f-- flailing around with no purpose just because the beat is nice. Most times he doesn't even pronounce his words properly
its a disgrace that this is considered rap, when the words aren't given any importance

The amount of times I've explained this exact thing on this site...

Thug's appeal isn't in the way he "doesnt give a s--- about pronouncing words" it's all calculated and intentional. Rap started with lyrics that were intended to have a double meaning, because at the time it was predominantly gangsta rap and rapping straight forward lyrics that were exact and to the point would incriminate the artists. That's why it's so full of slang etc. Then you fast forward to a few years later, when the south got huge from people using the whole lean flow/chopped and screwed/lean sound. They had slurs in their voices, not because they are lazy musicians, but because they were actually street credible gangsters, doing drugs causing them to "slur" some words. It's all part of the culture. It's always been like this. saying something like "i can't even understand what he's saying" is dumb - YOU ARE NOT MEANT TO. You are supposed to let the artist grow on you, your supposed to form an understanding of the artist, THEN you can/should understand what he's saying and the deeper undertones to it.

Do you think rich people from quiet wealthy neighbourhoods in the 80's heard songs from NWA/Public Enemy and knew what words like pig/jacked/bail/sack/tucked/9 double m/187/cell etc etc etc meant? no they wouldn't have had any idea, because theya ren't from a climate where that kind of slang/words are used on the regular.

It's the same reason Americans have difficulty liking Australian rap, for the most part they have no f---ing idea what they are saying and when they do know what they are saying, they dont understand wtf it means because Australian language is so full of slang it's almost another language, compared to american english

is that why tech 9 is for socially maladjusted middle-schoolers?, becuase you dont like they way the lyrics are delivered? I say i listen to lyrical content, and judging on how they both sound, there is more variety , creaativity and meaning in Tech songs. Delivery is also important, if you rap in such a way that half of your songs are almost indistinguishable verbally yet still you put effort into making it flow, then its obvious that the sound is more important to you than the Lyrics, and this is something confirmed by most Thugger fans.

I said i listen to lyrical content, i havent yet made any comment on thugger , so what you just did is make an assumption of what i think. and you used your own assumption as reason to not argue.

never said i dont understand what thugger is saying, its quite audible once you give it a few listens
All im saying is that more lyrical effort is put into tech songs, which is my debatable opinion, i hear alot of thug songs where he is legit lazy and just ryhmes the same sentence multiple times. Now it flows and sounds awesome, but that to me is lyrically lazy. There is creativity in the WAY thugger says his verses, but i find more VARIETY is WHAT tech says in his

thugger has good songs, where he does spit good verses, but if compare how much words are put into the songs as measure of effort, or sheer length of the songs. And thugger is a better rapper than meets the eye, but tech doesnt just try to spit as fast as possible, yeah when he has nothing better to rap about it's what he does, its his style, like thugger has his, but tech overall uses his words at the very least MORE. And its not as if what tech is saying alot of the time doesnt make sense. It does.
