    A guy who does not understand and cannot with women so gets the idea that he can get close to them by being nice and super needy instead of being up front of how he feels about her.

    That. But also, he's not really a good person because he's just being nice to get in her pants. Overtime, he'll find that this does not work and that she views him just as a friend so he'll start developing resentment towards her, making it obvious that he's not really nice at all.
