    everyone has an opinion. some hold more weight

    if you enjoy listening to s--- that critics don't like, just listen to it. you shouldn't need approval from critics to enjoy an album, song, w/e

    Why are the people that are saying music is obviously subjective also the ones that will say in other threads that one album is better than the other when better is an clearly objective term

    music is about feeling, the feeling you get while listening to a song is subjective. But the quality of a song can be objective, to some extent

    Some people like WPG clearly don't know s--- about music though so don't even bother reading his reviews

    basically, we try to be as objective as possible, but in reality, there will always be some subjectivity. That doesnt however mean we cant TRY to be as objective as possible

    When you say something is better than something else it implies it's objectively better, unless subjectively better exists

    When you say this is better than that in my opinion, it means you think this is objectively better than that in your opinion, and it still means there's something objective in music then

    You can't compare things that are entirely subjective

    You can't say green is better than orange

    But you affirm music is entirely subjective

    That's what I don't understand
