If Eminem didn't exist, there would be no Hopsin, so yes. Hip-Hop would be in the better place...

Jk. If he didn't exist, there would be someone else who would push boundaries like that.

It probably wouldn't be as popular, but on other side, probably some other white rapper would blow up

And the whole, "he paved the way for white rappers" thing wouldn't really hold any weight. People like Mac Miller would still be here.

    yes and no

don't think I can name one good artist directly influenced by him but his early music was definitely crucial

he didn't really influence any rappers that we have right now, but he really broadened hip-hop's audience. I think he influenced most people on Strange Music's label (tech included) but that is the only semi relevant label today that I can think he influenced. I think GRODT wouldn't have popped off as much as it did without the Em cosign but I don't know enough to really truly back that up.

50 would have been a success no matter what. He was in a huge bidding war and it just happened that Em's camp got him.

I don't think so. He had Dr. Dre and Eminem behind his album, so what was bigger than that back in 03?

I can see what Koolo is trying to do with this thread.
Eminem had a massive cultural influence, he made Hip-hop a music accessible to everyone, maybe people wouldn't listen to rap so much today without him.
He influenced A LOT of artist you fools. I'm gonna chock people by saying this but Kendrick Lamar and Young Thug are both influenced by Eminem.
    lmao

the album would be huge no matter what of course, but I personally would not have listened to it when I did if it weren't for the em features (as dumb as I was at the time)

His success wouldn't be as big as it was with Dre and Em.
