Having a light racial prejudice? It's pretty bad Koolo
One thing is laughing at dark humour and the other is actually believing the bs behind

0%-15% racist = Cool. This is like laughing at SNL's "Black Jeopardy".
16%-49% racist= Fair level of racist. You may know a handful of people in this range and whenever you hang with them you hope they don't talk too loud in public.
50%-90% racist= Cringe level of racist. These are your "It's cool, I have a black friend." people.
91%-100%= Bad. These are straight up Klan members.
It's pretty basic math, guys.TrillBosby, furface, Flacko and 6 others like this. -

It's not as bad as straight up hateful racism but it's not a good mindset either. -

Does having bad ideas make you a bad person?
I don't think it does. But you should definitely like, reflect on self and why you feel that way, and whether it's justified. I think not being willing to do that could make you a bad person.Last edited: May 29, 2016 -

I was born and raised in a community with very few black families. It was a very white place to live. It's so weird being into black culture like rap music while being so distant from it. I think deep seated pains like racism are great for comedy, but when somebody genuinely holds beliefs like that I get uncomfortable. Even now when I have a black niece and nephew, multiple black friends, etc I know that growing up how I did around the people I did has had an effect on me. I grapple with it a lot. Especially in times like these where racial tension is a huge issue in America.
Oh, and anybody who likes stereotypes should grow up in a racially homogeneous community. You learn really quickly that s-----y people don't all come in the same package. Not to mention how big of a deal social classes and the poverty line are.furface, Flacko, Ordinary Joel and 3 others like this. -

It irks me to be on what's ostensibly a hip-hop forum and see posters laugh at rappers getting locked up.Ordinary Joel, Enigma, Soldier and 2 others like this. -

I mean the question of whether being racist is "wrong" or "okay" is ultimately meaningless, right? If anything, it's a personal opinion. The question is whether it's harmful, and it usually is.Ordinary Joel, reD10S, Flacko and 1 other person like this. -

People are lying if they said they haven't had a little hatred towards other races. No one can honestly say they havent looked at another race at some point of their life and wanted to do harm to them.Lucy, asvdawg, Oldboy and 1 other person like this. -

Where I grew up it was 100% white and very racist. I instinctively knew that their views were wrong by having empathy for people I never met.
You're right about the homogeneous setting... I was surrounded by all white people who were Christian and most of the time they were awful to each other.furface, Ordinary Joel, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and 1 other person like this. -

Racism is a mental disorder. Prejudices based on culture are one thing, but treating people different based on physical traits is just outlandish.game time67, furface, Ordinary Joel and 1 other person like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -
