May 30, 2016 Renegade is kinda a loose term now tbh but songs where he has clearly outshone the others
May 30, 2016 Hard to think of a feature where he didn't outshine the other artist. Drop The World, No Love, Forever, Where I'm At, just to name a few. No Love is probably the best example of him smoking the other artist.
May 30, 2016 For a song with three superstars like Levine, 50 and Em this s--- is just terrible. Glad it was scrapped.
May 30, 2016 I still stand by the belief that Eminem "Renegaded" harder on Forever than actual Renegade. Renegade was originally a Royce/Em track and Jay Z hopped on later. The feature was just a couple of classic Eminem verses in his prime rather than intentionally written to compete with one of the greatest rappers alive. Forever is Eminem's first (and best) great verse post hiatus/accent. No one expected him to deliver a verse at that caliber. I still can't believe he did. Renegading Drake, Wayne, and Kanye all at the same time, in 2009, was more impressive than Jay Z.. on a song Jay Z purchased. Almost every song released by Eminem in 2001 was on Renegade levels. Eminem admittedly wrote Wayne and Kanye diss tracks that we'll unfortunately never hear. Forever is bigger than Renegade ever was. Forever reestablished Eminem as a GOAT rapper after he came back with a weird accent and an obession over serial killers and pedophilia.
May 30, 2016 It wasn't a complete renegade, but I believe his Airplanes Part. 2 verse is one of the finest Recovery Era guest features he had. It was also one of the only Alex Da Kid beats that was Dope as h---.
May 30, 2016 Great post. One thing I find interesting about Forever is you had the best rapper from the early 2000s (Eminem), the mid-2000s (Kanye), the late 2000s (Wayne), and the 2010s (Drake, which we didn't know yet, as the song came out in 09 just as Drake was starting to blow up), and Em shined the brightest in that all-star lineup. Also Forever was clearly when Em made the switch from his goofy/accent Relapse style to the more serious Em we've seen in the 2010s.
May 30, 2016 Without a doubt I think he outshined the others on Airplanes Pt. 2, Where I'm At, and Drop The World.
May 31, 2016 It is quite funny that in an era when Kanye, Wayne and Drake thought they were top dogs, they all got completely murked by an 'over the hill' Marshall. The white boy played them all again...
May 31, 2016 huge disappoint in terms of the release too... em not showing up to the promo performance on the voice, was icing on that cake
May 31, 2016 do you believe in the sneak disses theory or whatever? idk if you ever saw those vids (i imagine you have) where dude goes n points out the connections n s--- between verses in 2009/2010?
