Jun 8, 2016I am by no means an expert in the market but I do like making some good trades and finding gorgeous penny stocks
I actually pretty much only trade penny stocks cause I don't got koolo money and I can pick up more shares for cheap that have infinite potential
for ANYONE getting started, just go to the appstore and install Robinhood and follow the directions to set up your account and link your bank.
here's some companies on my watchlist.
GEVO (just picked this up this morning): they use renewable alcohol jet fuel. with their fuel, it helps planes lower their greenhouse gas emissions. they were up as much as 100% earlier today after Alaska Airlines announced they're gonna begin to use their fuel starting today.
I'm thinking this'll be a nice long term stock as other airlines start to pick up on using cleaner methods for fuel. interested to see where it'll be by the end of the month.
VNR: they been sleeping for a few months now and pretty much falling for the past year or two since oil been straight falling but since oil is turning around, there's really nowhere to go from here but up.
I've honestly wanted to sell this though cause I'm a little tired of waiting but I haven't broken even yet smh. picked this up around $1.80. if nothing happens within the next 3-4 weeks though I'll probably pull out regardless.
They do however have a 25% dividend which means for every share you own, they pay out 25% of what the stock is worth. so if it were at $1, you'd get 25 cents for every share you own 4 times a year.
AMD: I'm sure everyone knows what AMD is but if not, they make computer processors. their direct competition is Intel.
they got a nice 6 month chart going but a few different sources (The street rating, Jim Cramer) talking bout selling so Ima see where this goes these next few weeks. can't trust everything you hear feel me.
More stocks to watch: CLRB, CJES, BSPM
I been using this app lately that I highly, highly recommend called StockTwits. basically it connects to your Twitter and all the stocks you add to your watchlist have conversation from thousands of other people watching. great way to learn about the market and the specific stocks you're looking into.

where to start as in which stocks to start off with? if you look through the thread, you'll see the stocks i'm following but i'm liking MGT, GEVO, AMD and ECR.
some general, basic tips would be to make sure you follow your stocks every day. anything can happen in a day and you can't leave your children unattended.
careful with stocks that just randomly surge out of nowhere. a lot of the times they don't go anywhere after that week and reverse itself (learned the hard way).
watching stocks is very underrated..don't always feel like you have to buy immediately when you see green. stocks are obviously not just green every single day, so try and buy when the stock is down which could be the next day or the next two days.

@Narsh @Trippy Skippy Read through this thread and look at Jet's suggestions on penny stocks, that's where to start. Don't do what I did and buy like six $15 stocks, buy 50+ $1 stocks instead
If a $1 stock goes to $4 you've quadrupled your investment but if a $15 goes to $19 it doesn't help much unless you have lots of sharesmarmin shkreli, Narsh, aquaberryares and 1 other person like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

My best advice is just to do your homework before investing. True for everything but especially true with penny stocks cus penny stocks are especially volatile. They can be a huge come up, but also more susceptible to take a big dip compared to a more established (more expensive) company.
Take a look at a quarterly earnings chart, scroll thru past and current news see if anything good or bad stands out. Just get an overall feel for the company.
Also number 1 tip I got when I was starting was dont put all ur eggs in one basket. Over time, make sure u spread out ur investments over different companies and even different industries. Dont lose it all from one hit.
As far as current stocks I recommend, I guess my pick right now would be PDEX like jet said (hopefully im not jinxing it). Its been treating me well and they have been hinting at big things coming.
Cant think of much else rn that @Jet✞ and @Loyalty havent covered. Ill post up here if I do though. -
