Alchemist did a very nice post about the "civilized" thing - when you are constantly at war, is difficult to progress in society. I didn't say this was the reason war started, but the same goes with many so called extremists leaders who will deal with their supposedly worst enemies just to gain more soil and make profit. Again, if the president of Iran said "Allah told me to end the tyranny in US" you would go crazy. Don't brush it off only because he obviously was talking bs. Then if they escape risking their lives, they get gassed and beat up, and emprisioned in the great and progressist EU. And even if they do make it and try to integrate in society (or not), people still blame them for the actions they were escaping from. Can you even imagine how painful can it be to live like this, and to be associated with the same people that may have killed your family or destroyed your country? Give them a f---ing break.
