Jun 29, 2016 i don't mind u guys, you're not morons but genghis is an exemplary example of why i just bail on half the arguments i get into on this site because i'm legit arguing with children half the time
Jun 29, 2016 But that's in your country bruh, I'm talking about America... When police brutality becomes racial we can talk about systematic racism You're arguing that the government itself is not racist, but that's not the point The law is one of the components that are part of this system, therefore we can properly label it as that
Jun 29, 2016 @Pato v2 : French articles but you can use Google translate https://www.amnesty.be/decouvrir-no...thematiques/article/les-musulmans-victimes-de http://www.latribune.fr/opinions/tr...te-des-discriminations-au-travail-467384.html (interview of a researcher that did a study that revealed that an immigrant is 2 to 3 times less likely to be accepted for a job if the employer thinks he's Muslim instead of Christian)
Jun 29, 2016 Key quote for the first article: The EU itself established a law to prohibite any kind of discrimination in employment What the few companies that are ignoring this rule are doing is ilegal and against the rules that the agents of this system properly published Not systematic oppresion Key quote for the second article: Ironically the article debunked the "inmigrants are systematically opressed" argument by using Senegal Christians for their experiment What this second write up might be suggesting is that the muslims were more open to express their "traditional" (disgusting) views about women, which was probably the reason why they were less likely to be hired The test is flawed and holds no value I need more links that prove what you're saying
Jun 29, 2016 Also, for a random test that tries so many businesses (most of them unrelated from each other) to do their experiment, I'd say "3 of 4" is surprisingly good
Jun 29, 2016 lol, im sure you were awesome at complex numbers and kinetic gas theory. If you have nothing to add, ill be going back to my research.
Jun 29, 2016 Yeah but where in the law is discriminatory. Where are black people ever mentioned specifically if not for legislation against hate speech. Naah its prolly me.
Jun 29, 2016 I'm just letting you know this as a courtesy, since you're a child. I'm sure you'll dismiss this with some new angry, poorly argued tirade, but I promise it's coming from a good place, and I mean it very sincerely. There are only two possible outcomes of you being like this at 16: 1. You smarten up in your early 20s and are embarrassed you thought/argued most of these things, you feel guilty, and you frantically try to scrub them from teh internet. 2. You fall even further down this rabbit hole of myopic bs and become a person who not just has s-----y, destructive beliefs, but has the ability to impose them upon the world at large. I'm done arguing with you. You seem very impressed with yourself, but I can tell you for a fact that those of us who have some perspective on life see right through the bluster. You're trying to prove something to us--and probably to yourself--but in trying for that end, you're turning yourself into the kind of person who can be manipulated by really dark, really cynical political forces. You think you've tapped into some well of intellect and knowledge, and that's great, but in your desperation to prove that to the world you're very quickly becoming a bitter, blinded, xenophobic piece of s---. It's incredibly easy to reverse that. You're 16. People do terrible things at 16. Lots of people I consider friends and family were similar pieces of s--- at 16. But I honestly, honestly hope that you turn it down a few notches, step back, learn from the outside world and realize that experiences other than yours are not less than yours. Like I said, I'm not going to say anything else to you. I'm sure you're going to tell me to f--- off, because you think you know everything, but if you ever want anything feel free to reach out to me. I hope things work out for you, and I very sincerely hope you consider how damaging it is to parrot the things you naively think are true back out into the world.
Jun 29, 2016 Spoiler: WPG's Post I'm not like you mate. I don't dismiss people because of intolerance of views you might not agree with. You cite an interview, i make a counter argument and cite an article, and before you lookup the meaning of my terminology , you misrepresent my argument and simply k--- the debate. In this case instead of communicating and discussing the issue like @Pato v2 here, you simply dismiss my claims and start making personal attacks about what or who you think i am. As if you somehow think your world view is infallible or your opinion is objective fact and anyone who disagree's is inferior as a person. I tell you to f--- off because your arrogance and narcissism in your debating kills the point of it. And this long lecture is only another example of your pretentious nature getting the best of you. I have nothing to prove to you mate. I just find it funny that self proclaimed intellects are so incapable of simple discussion. And I am person that unlike you does not argue to 'teach others', but rather i argue as a collaborative effort with my opponent as a means of reaching a greater understanding. Like everytime someone brings an artist they thing is better than Eminem i scramble to youtube in excitement to be able to hear new types of music in hopes that i might find music i love even more. Like me asking why people like thugger and becoming a thug fan. But don't worry, if it scares you that much, my aspirations aren't political, i won't be a writer , and i won't pursue any humanities. I chose the Math class with 15 people over the Sociology group with 60. Because i think the world evolves with science and technology instead of building personal narratives or long opinionated ramblings about how s--- my life is.
Jun 29, 2016 Forgot to answer this, when I say "the law" I'm using it to refer to the police The police is part of the system
Jun 29, 2016 This is a 10/10 post and I hope people really pay attention to it. Basically one of the reasons I've given up arguing with people online. I kind off relate to their anger because I was once like that. What really touched me in this post was where you said he might look back on the things he argued about and be embarrassed. I actually went back to my old Facebook posts and cringed at the things I cared about (mostly political). Deleted every last one of them. I'm kind off proud of myself because I started that bs at 14 but stopped at 16. And I only stopped being angry at the world when I learned how to connect with people around me, especially women. I was the able to be empathic to others. I'm in high school now and I know many of my schoolmates who are still like that. Many people I know on section eighty are exactly you described and they're usually on threads like this. I'm actually surprised and thankful you take the time to correct them over and over again when they're being thick headed @Genghis Stan. I don't have the strength to do all that.
Jun 29, 2016 I will say one more thing: it is incredibly naive to think that there isn't legislation targeting black people just because the words "black people" don't appear in the legislation. That's all.
Jun 29, 2016 They are, but then again, ive seen american police s---t at white teenagers. Its more of abuse of power than any institutional racism. Any group with that type of power are bound to abuse it. Which is why so many people are against gun control in your country. White's and blacks alike.
Jun 29, 2016 Yeah, but what legislation have black people been exclusive victims to that never had any effect on a white person? Did you know that more white people than blacks have been hanged in your country. It is true that poor people are more likely to fall victim to legislation that target the POOR. And it's not like the black community is this tame and peaceful group.
