Jul 6, 2016 Lol switched up the dis side and qp2 comparisons, regardless yeah all the positives are beyond travis' input how does that help the case of Travis himself being a good artist? Personally I enjoy Finessing waaaaaay more than QP2.
Jul 6, 2016 he put the whole song together right? plus he does provide his own vocals on the hook, the verses( which unless u think he stole that from some thugger song are genuine) and the outro which offers much more than what finessing's hook offers. That along with him executively producing dbr does put him somewhere in the good artist bracket. why discard everything he did just cause he stole a hook which he did justice to anyway?
Jul 6, 2016 Erm what? The beat was made by someone else, and saying having someone else on your song doesn't entitle you to the credit of their input. And as for "offers much more than futures hook", how? "tell me why she want to leave me, she use me to get high" would be an interesting insight if he actually did anything with it, but as it stands it's an out of place, half-baked thought thrown in to seem deep on an aesthetic level and no deeper. And then the final wannabe Cudi bit literally makes no sense, the whole song is a bunch of neat but unoriginal ideas that never get fleshed out so instead it needs a beat and a feature to be anything more than Travis biting future in so many ways it sounds like an xzibit meme and not a real song concept.
Jul 6, 2016 what about his verses? sure they are gibberish for the most part but he does deliver them very nicely. and why doesnt someone else's input on a song entitle you their credit? at the end of the day when someone hears it they'll go "man that travis joint hard" or "t.i went off" and not "d--- t.i was like the only original thing about this song" i'll take the whole "offers more than future's hook" thing back cause honestly i just feel like its an upgraded version and subjectively think its better.
Jul 6, 2016 Travis Scott is so unreliable. Pick Up The Phone was supposed to drop in March, but didn't officially drop until late May. I bet the album won't drop at all this week, and if I'm wrong, ill change my profile pic to Young Thug.
