Jul 6, 2016 You're a hipster white suburban culture vulture why don't you take your wire-rimmed glasses and bicycle your way out of here.
Jul 6, 2016 Aye, they do. If you live in wisconsin then my suspicion is that you would have no first hand information about it. Thats why I dont f--- around anymore with these cops. Dont give them a f---ing reason to bust my a---
Jul 6, 2016 Someone called in a complaint about a man threatening others in the parking lot. The owner of the store confirmed that such a disturbance took place, and that the man in question was not Sterling.
Jul 6, 2016 Ok buddy. I was just adding my thoughts to the discussion. Not trying to go back and forth with childish insults
Jul 6, 2016 A man is dead, despite his skin color, he needs to be brought to justice. Take all this insulting s--- elsewhere. WPG not everyone is going to agree with you 100% of the time. I don't know why you feel the need to argue with people that agree with you a majority of the time. It's silly and counterproductive. They're not comparable because one actively sought out black people to murder them. The other one was called to a scene and made a series of decisions that may or may not have been idiotic. There are more factors that influence how cops interact with people beyond race though it is certainly one of them. Again, we barely know anything about these three men. The two of them could have been power tripping. It could have nothing to do with him being black or it could have everything to do with him being black. You're hypothesis has yet to be proven accurate. It could very well be that these two men are racists and acted on said belief system. It's why I called it a logical assumption but it's not one I'm willing to preach quite yet.
Jul 6, 2016 And it'll be brought to justice, alongside with other unreported cases that will hopefully help to dismantle this biased racial profiling circus that the American officers have been running for decades Oh wait...
Jul 6, 2016 yeah but 3 times as much white people have been killed, so it isn't a racial issue Framing this as a race issue won't help the underlying problem or police abusing thier power over civillians. Trying to classify the crime differently based in the skin color of the victim is not the correct approach. If black people are equal to white people then i would expect that crimes that affect us not carry a different name or a greater penalty. It's not a 'white on black' crime it's as much as it is a 'person to person' or 'police to civillian' crime. Simply assuming that this is racial is an assumption without any evidence. If you want to argue that this happens more to blacks than white's then my simple rebuttal is that blacks are not only that much more likely to be poor, they are that much more likely to commit crimes like murder. And this demographic of being poor and likely to commit crime is what gets people targeted by abusive police . I didn't get to your post about police acting differently around blacks than with whites. This will need an entire new thread, and maybe we can talk about another time (plus me debating about it, since it isnt my country feels out of place. As for some of you idiots the notion that the man going for his gun while pinned down is justification for getting shot is utter bs. There is specific protocol and training pertaining to these types of situations , and i completely forgot that you f---ers have taser. Two trained men pinning town a fat guy like that should immobilize his legs and both arms. there are so many reasons why this happening was wrong that if the police themselves are somehow innocent, the entire police system falls into doubt for giving guns to irresponsible c----. If a guy is going for his gun, in the time it took you to say 'open fire' and point your guns to his chest you could simply....... Pin down his f---ing arm. The police are in no way redeemable here, and this shouldn't be apart of the debate
Jul 6, 2016 @jewtheiii Police officers in America k--- black people at a remarkable rate. Zoom in on each individual case and sure, you can argue that--while race certainly looked to be a contributing factor in the death!--we don't have all the information. Add up enough of these though, and it becomes unavoidably obvious what's going on. You're being myopic.
Jul 6, 2016 don't see what makes this more notable than last/next week's police murder America has no will to fix itself
Jul 6, 2016 the fact that you prosecute these people is a good start. Police k--- people with complete legal impunity here. They are protected by the higher ups in the force.
Jul 6, 2016 Yea, this is what I have to explain to my a lot of the people I know up here. A lot of them are #AllLivesMatter people that can't even comprehend that JUST MAYBE police harass people for no reason in other parts of the country.
Jul 6, 2016 I posted numbers earlier in this thread. If you're like to continue to ignore them, that's on you. Those two things--race and power--are more or less inextricable in America. By what measure? I've posted the evidence of systemic and systematic police targeting of black people multiple times in this thread; you need to read more about the history of police forces in major cities. If you want something with a recent pop culture hook, get Toobin's book on the OJ Simpson trial--Toobin is completely unsympathetic to Simpson, even mocks him for his lack of education, but his history of the LAPD from 1950 to 1993 is thorough, inarguable, and absolutely scathing. There's a ton to dismantle in this sentence alone, but for now let's simply point out that Sterling was not committing a single crime when he was murdered. (Black people are also not statistically shown to commit any crimes out of step with their economic station. In fact, it's white men who disproportionately commit crimes involving guns. Look it up.) And as a pure argumentative fallacy, you can't spend the first part of your post preaching an individual lens for each crime, then saying "well it makes sense this black person was murdered, other black people commit crimes." You can't have it both ways. All that said, I'm glad we can agree on the most important point.
Jul 6, 2016 where all living in h--- this is nothing compared to it mixed worlds and where inbetween one day we will all see the truth
Jul 6, 2016 this is sad, especially after seeing the close up video... which i really wish i hadn't watched... but honestly, the more i read up about this the less I think there was serious wrong-doing on the part of the police officers involved
