Police are not responsible for the actions of other officers either. There is no legal or moral grounds to argue that.

Not no cops per se, but since most people never have meaningful interactions with police, we could drastically scale back our police forces and be totally fine. (Cameras for traffic violations, etc etc.) Then you radically restructure what law enforcement you do need. We should divest massive amounts of money from law enforcement and reinvest them in underserved communities--the only strategy that has consistently proven effective in curbing crime.

When a teacher is found to be engaged in any sort of crime, they're immediately removed from the school and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Police departments consistently engage in activities that unduly target racial minorities with total impunity. It's f---ing r-----ed to equate these two things, that has no roots in reality.

You're looking at raw data with no back story to it. It doesn't add up.

Even the FBI reports that black people are much more likely to k--- police than police are to k--- unarmed black people and that ratio is skyrocketing this year. I can't find the exact statistic now, but it's there. Police are avoiding confrontations in statistically dangerous neighborhoods because they are afraid of being labeled racist.

Well the role of a police office is specifically to interject themselves in conflict, so the standard should be different. Regardless, I agree that there isn't enough punishment for violent officers.
