Of course I'm talking about moderate Islam. Why would the average person want to stand with extremist Islam (or extremist Christianity, or extremist social justice warriors, or extremist anything, really)? I'm only speaking on oppression in the USA because it's the only thing I know enough about to speak on. I don't know what it's like in Islamic countries where you are not legally allowed to publicly speak out against Islam, and it's hard to compare those countries to a country like the USA where you have freedom of religion anyway.

All I'm saying is that the average gay person in the United States would probably have reason to put differences aside and stand united with the average Muslim or any other minority group who is actively oppressed in the USA.

Also, do you really think that link is an unbiased source? lol: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_for_Security_Policy

"The Center for Security Policy (CSP) is a Washington, D.C.-based national securitythink tank that has been widely accused of engaging in conspiracy theorizing by a range of individuals, media outlets and organizations. Its activities are focused on exposing and researching perceived jihadist threats to the United States. The Center has been described as "disreputable" by Salon and the Southern Poverty Law Center designated the CSP as a hate group in 2016.[1][not in citation given] It has faced strong criticism from people across the political spectrum, but has also had its reports cited by political figures such as Donald Trump and Michele Bachmann.[2][3]"

I'm not with the whole Islam thing, I think it's dumb to stand by that while s--- like the executions and shootings are a thing as a direct result. I don't stand by any religion though, but one that is actively killing my own people out in the world and even here in the US now? f--- that.

Do you think that wikipedia is a good source? LOL

And nah, the core of islam is not tolerant, it makes no sense for LGBT and Muslims to join forces. they should care more about the gays that got killed by a radicalized muslim and see that Islam is not a good thing.

Wikipedia is a good source for extremely basic research on a subject when you are starting out, yes.

You're an intelligent gay man who sees that Islam is a hateful destructive ideology that wants to execute people like you. Props

I think the biggest thing about it is I can't think of the last time a religious killing of a gay person happened that wasn't Islam related. Christians may preach it but they don't have the balls anymore

Is the BBC a bad source? You're acting like wikipedia is the only place on the internet that says that that website isn't credible.
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-35037943

"The CSP has been criticised across the political spectrum - by high-profile Republicans as well as Democrats - and by organisations which monitor extremist groups. Terri Johnson, executive director of the Center for New Community and J Richard Cohen, president of the Southern Poverty Law Center, called it "an extremist think-tank" led by an "anti-Muslim conspiracist"."
