Jul 14, 2016 It's basically to the point where I need to try to stop caring about this for my own mental health. Yes I know that sounds selfish but like proto said there's nothing we can do and I'm sick of being down on a very regular basis cuz this kinda s---.
Jul 14, 2016 Yeah, we confirm isis was responsible and pout about it for a couple days and go back to doing nothing because we don't want to offend or alienate anyone. Let's talk about guns and refugees, that will take everyone's attention away from the glaringly obvious problem and inevitable solution.
Jul 14, 2016 I mean what can you really do? Are you going to lock up every person who's a Muslim? It's not like it's a specific countries army that's doing it. ISIS doesn't have a specific headquarters where they all hang out and plan attacks that you can just bomb.
Jul 14, 2016 Isis aren't even Muslim and that logic is so tired and pathetic. You're just going to sit around, be sad and wait for the next attack because "what can you really do?". You have to put troops on the ground in Syria and Iraq and fix the mess that was started in 2002 and has gotten exponentially worse over the last 8 years because of complete ineptitude. There is no other option at this point and the next President will be forced to do it, just watch. It's that or find another dictator to run Iraq who will also k--- innocent people. There is no perfect solution for that f---ing mess.
Jul 14, 2016 Yeah lets send more innocent kids there to die and make more people hate us when we f--- it up again, because it worked so great the first time. Are the ground troops gonna stop attacks in France, USA, UK???? If the troops weren't pulled they'd be there forever.. Okay man, you're really saving us with your posts btw. Thanks a lot Blair, you can armchair quarterback the next invasion and feel good about yourself. 76 people die and the first thing you bring up is guns which is so tiring
Jul 14, 2016 You do realize ISIS has been losing ground in both Iraq and Syria for the past year now. That hasn't stopped them from orchestrating/influencing attacks in western countries. Deploying ground troops (again) isn't going to solve anything. At some point, U.S. troops will need to pull out and some terrorist organization will fill the vaccum like ISIS did.
Jul 14, 2016 Here are the options: fight them or continue to sit back and wait to be targeted. I have multiple family members in the USMC. If you think I want another war, you're wrong. Your solution to say what can you really do seems to be effective so far, I give you that. The people of Iraq and Syria are begging for help. Just watch, it will happen, I guarantee it.
Jul 14, 2016 Yeah I meant more of the injured will pass still so the deaths may reach 100+, I said it kinda weird there, my bad.
Jul 14, 2016 How does putting troops in Syria and Iraq stop attacks in France, stop attack in UK, stop attacks here?? They're not a centralized group.
Jul 14, 2016 They lose one area and take over another. They have holds on key bases all over Iraq and the US is quietly increasing troops in Iraq as it is.
Jul 14, 2016 You're right, we'll just send in more troops to die and make more enemies which will increase the attacks on our soil and revisit another option then
Jul 14, 2016 That really hasn't been the case for a while now though. http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/28/politics/isis-losses-iraq-syria-brussels/ "Altogether, the U.S. calculates that ISIS has lost 40% of the 34,000 square miles of territory it controlled in Syria and Iraq before the U.S. and a host of other nations ramped up military involvement in the region in 2014. Perhaps most significantly, Iraqi forces retook the city of Ramadi in December."
Jul 14, 2016 However, they still have hold of Mosul and Raqqa. It will be up to the rest of the world to finish them. I don't want it, but someone will be forced to do it. Is that really all you can come up with? It's already happening genius.
