    In 21st century it is an unprecedented situation. The last coup in turkey was in 1980 from what I remember.

    This is what the Prime Minister had to say;

    “Some people illegally undertook an illegal action outside of the chain of command,” Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said in comments broadcast on NTV, a private television channel. “The government elected by the people remains in charge. This government will only go when the people say so.”

    we don't know nothing yet, both sides claim to have control

    We can only hope it ends quick, civil war in Turkey is the last thing we need

    It is believed that NATO holds about 80 B61 nuclear bombs in Turkey.

    Turkey is 2nd biggest military force in NATO

    No, I'm not. I'm not taking sides, Erdogan was pretty awful, but coup is never a good thing

    Seems like the military is trying to make that decision for him.
    Not very familiar with the situation there but from everything I've heard/read Erdogean sounds like the woat.
