2) there are more cops (and people, period) in the world so ofc the numbers are going to rise in that sense, I guess that's on me for not saying "percentage of cops" or something so here have your W since less cops died in 1794 or whatever according to some police foundation that's apparently more reputable than FBI statistics.

If you don't think replaying cell phone video of a black man bleeding out on the ground at the feet of two cops would insight anything other than flat out rage for police officers as a whole, I don't know what to tell you.

First of all, you should be careful how you use words because technically they have been proven "lawful" in a number of instances, especially the high profile ones. Second of all, I would never insinuate that Obama had any correlation to their deaths, just that his choice to comment on anything without details is irresponsible.

You understand it raises awareness, just like the media reporting on bull connor and the attacks on protestors during the civil rights movement. or even the publication of uncle tom's cabin -- media is central is revealing the mistreatment of black americans throughout our history. sorry that upsets you!

things i want from @blair:
1. recognition conservatives unfairly target obama, accuse him of heinous things, and generally attempt to delegitimize his accomplishments
2. acknowledgement conservative media have conspired to incite violence against groups they dislike
3. agreement that the death of black americans by police is a real issue, and could (partially) be remedied by passage of a bipartisan criminal justice bill in congress
4. recognition his party/ideology is currently undermining the passage of said criminal justice bill (and most legislation in congress)
5. a promise to vote for hillary clinton. or at least an implicit promise to not vote for trump

It upsets irrational people to the point of killing cops, at least 8 of them in the past week. Where did those guys get the idea to target cops?

I am bent out of shape over nothing, just thought I would let you know because when you are arguing with someone in person that actually matters it will make a difference.

I like how much is assumed about what I say or think. One comment turns in to me "fuming" or asserting this or that. I'm a lot more moderate than you crazy a--- liberals think I am, you just jump all over anyone who questions you and turn potential allies into enemies.

You never asked me about that. If you did, I would have told you that it isn't right. The man who went and shot an abortion doctor in the head while he was in church with his family is disgusting. Those people got their ideas somewhere and I would say media had a hand in it. I tried to reason with you by saying, don't you think media generalizes BLM, but people still denied it, which is bs, but whatever.

Also, I have never endorsed Trump, so no idea where you got that.

I don't believe black people are to blame for their own oppression. I do, however, believe that there are certain issues in the black community that cannot entirely be attributed to racism.
