Aug 29, 2016 CM Punk beating JBL on an Episode of RAW in 2008 to win his first reign as WWE World Heavyweight Championship was pretty lit. Crowd was in rare form because the pop he got that night could deafen an elephant. This is probably up there. Which is fair to say, because it was around this time of the year, eight years ago, if I remember correctly. I always found it ironic that certain dates either intersect or correlate in one fashion or another as it pertains to what type of champ Vince ends up crowning at a certain point in time. Like The Premiere Bret Hart WWF Championship Reign happening in 1994. Ten years later, Chris Benoit gets his first reign at Wrestlemania XX in NYC @ MSG. Then 10 years after that, @ Wrestlemania ---, Daniel Bryan completes the triple-decade-technical-wrestler-conquest-trifecta. I don't know if that's just pure coincidence or not. But it's something I've always noticed with Vince's knack for recycling or reintroducing story-lines in polished and contemporary form. No matter the staff of the writing team, he still has the trusty Kayfabe Booking Playbook by his side to facilitate such "dead-end" situations.

Aug 30, 2016 Not surprised Owens won but definitely didn't expect HHH coming back. I did call the pedigree on rollins after the one on Reigns though, just such typical HHH fashion lol. Knew especially when he went over to fake congratulate Rollins. Raw's gonna be great for a bit now, the Kevin f---in Owens show!! Hopefully we find out Owens next opponent next week, I don't know who it should be tbh.

Aug 30, 2016 Just watched Raw....so f---ing glad I avoided spoilers all day...that was so f---ing GREAT Btw- How are we so sure Owens/Haitch are gonna be heels? Steph looked shocked when Trips left and I could easily see this building to him fighting Rollins at the Raw only PPV in a pedigree vs. pedigree match. I mean, everyones knows Triple H created the great NXT and nobody wants to boo him because of it.
