Kendrick Lamar TPAB VS UU

    Kendrick has a grander and more cohesive vision on Tpab Hes also more creative with the spokenwords on that album, and the production is so much better...

    I find myself listening to UU more, not because it's better, but because it's shorter and doesn't take much time to listen to from beginning to end. As far as quality goes, Tpab is just a few levels above to the point where I'm starting to consider U.U. as a short demo version of Tpab.

    Only song I still listen to from either is Untitled 7, so I guess UU wins by default

    Tpab is kendrick's best album so it wins by default

    UU probably his 3rd best after section 80

    I love them both but Tpab is a masterpiece while UU is just a really good project. No competition here

    no lol, gkmc is probably my 2nd most played kendrick project but objectively speaking, I think it ranks #3 behind tpab & s80

    Tpab, it's the only kendrick album I really f--- with. I was really diggin UU for a while but I haven't revisited it for weeks

    I played s80 for a month strong but now I'm done with it. This s--- don't have replay value for me.. tpab really is the only album I keep going back to and likening it more with each listen.

    Don't get me wrong, sxn80 is still a dope a--- album

    I get it some people like Kendrick's stuff rn, but he's only good for features to me anymore. GKMC is in my top 3 albums of all time but his solo work hasn't been the same since.

    Even though I was always a vocal TPAB detractor, I actually think it's held up better than I expected. All of my original complaints still stand, and it's far from being a perfect album, but it's a good listen every once in a while.

    UU doesn't have the highs or lofty ambitions of TPAB, but in some ways its rougher edges give it a charm that's totally lacking on TPAB (whose primary problem in my eyes was its eagerness to please at any cost).

    So in other words...while I would suspect most people would choose TPAB in a landslide, I personally think it's a draw, and my answer depends on when you ask me. Today, right now, probably UU.
