I get what you're saying. I have a similar problem, I'm having trouble falling asleep. When I have to get up early I want to go to sleep early. But somehow I try to force myself to sleep and then it doesn't work lol. I end up falling asleep at like 1AM and have to get out 6 AM. However when I fall asleep, I usually don't wake up until I have to.

I had a similar issue a couple years back. I used to open my eyes for whatever reason at 2am and took me 4 hours to go back to sleep. f---in s----d.
The thing that worked for me was simply sticking to a tight sleep schedule. As in no more than a 30 minute difference in time when you sleep and and plan to wake up everyday. And plan to get at least 8-9hrs (Specially if you're still lifting regularly).

It s----d at first forcing myself to sleep at a certain time but i got used to it. Also, the thing that helped me get to bed at a certain time was a couple benadryl a couple hours before bed lol. Not every night, just when I felt I probably needed it that s--- knocked me out.
Im the type of person that when im up, im up. I cant just go back to sleep. I still am, but it's rare nowadays that I wake up in the middle of the night and dont go back to sleep.

I used to smoke a lot, probably 2-3 times a day. One of those times being before bed, when I stopped smoking all the time I started to get really bad anxiety, it's pretty much gone away now but that used to s--- a lot.

Had this problem for a while now. Even when I'm completely beat I still won't make it through the whole night. I wake up any time between 5-7 AM every morning to go to work and don't nap throughout the day so by the end of the day I'm pretty tired. I'll go to sleep any time between 8 PM and 1 AM most nights but I still end up waking up at least 1 or 2 times. The worst part about it is sometimes I'm never able to fall back asleep.
