it's pretty comfy to just wander around planets and find stuff...for like an hour
it gets really boring and repetitive when you realize a lot of the aliens are just deer with different horns/scales/colors. i'm pretty sure I read there were 6 base bodytypes for all life in the game, and those 6 body types get mixed and matched with horns and decorations and s---, and the proportions are changed around, and the heads are different, but it's really not as much variation as they lead everyone to believe. i went to 2 separate planets and found 2 separate species of deers with these weird bug head things. it just gets lame after a while. the combat isn't very good, at all. people will say "but the games not an fps combats not the point" but regardless of it not being the point its clunky and not fluid at all. the inventory is a mess. there's no real "missions" or anything. all intelligent life is just robots. there are some variation in planets, i mean i went to a planet that was mostly water and a planet that was one giant desert, but after the first few planets it's really just like who gives a s---. there's nothing you can *do* with the animals, so its like, on the off chance that you actually find something cool there's not a real point to it. it'd be a fun little comfy exploration sim for about $15, but that's all it is, an indie space exploration game. definitely not worth full price.

for the love of god don't buy it for $60 dollars. download the gog version from tpb or something and buy it later if you like it when it's on sale, but it's not a $60 game

So I landed on a planet called Akshalar Alke in the Teykservoinetpl I star system..



It looks like someone squeezed pink playdough everywhere



And these crab things are freaky



So basically I've been gathering materials so I can repair my ship and other items.. and that's all I've done so far. Once you repair your binoculars you can scan most objects like rocks, trees, creatures and you discover them... and then if you upload your discover you get bunch of Units... So far my planet is 14% discovered... I found 2 creatures, 2 rocks, 1 plant, 1 waypoint, 1 record and 2 language things according to the page. I haven't scanned everything I've come across because I just got my scanner but yeah... 14% already? Hmm maybe all staring planets are beginner planets and small with not much variety?

havent been reading this thread so idk if anyones talked about it yet but some fa---- on reddit bought the game 2 weeks early for $1300 and said he finished it (platinum tropies, got to the center of the galaxy, new game+, fully upgraded ship and weapon) in 30 hours

@Deadpool @Final like i dunno, were you guys under the impression it was multiplayer? Ever since I saw it at E3 i assumed it was, i guess they never explicitly said "this is a multiplayer game" but man, they have definitely said some sketchy s---, or s--- that alludes to it being multiplayer. can remember the guy at one point was asked "so can your friends like build a base on your planet, or can you like have space abttles together?"

dude was like
"ummmm well the universe is so big, do you think you will find your friends? it's just too big, you probably wont ever see another player (because its a singlepalyer game and we are tricking you)"
