the point of prison is to punish somebody purely because he has done a bad thing and that's not good or to try to prevent that person does the same s--- again?

I don't think it's reasonable to punish someone for something they did in their past when their life was completely different and when they have no reason to commit the same thing again, that's all. If you think bad guys should be punished because they're bad guys or you think this is stupid because every gangster knows he's gonna be a superstar before they will be judged so the preventive effect of prison will be lost then you can disagree

Both, but it doesn't have to be one or the another.

I mean, it depends, but on the other hand, you're dismissing the damage done to the victim.

what damage he didn't murder someone and if he robbed he can easily pay it back instead of passing 6 months in prison and making us wait for his next project

I mean, I am not a proponent of putting many people in jail, but this hypothetical is why we have statutes of limitations

Why just focus on the economical? What about the psychological damage? He's going to pay him a psychologist? That's how you think it should be done?

He didn't steal bread. This was armed robbery. Twice.

Statutes of limitations are like time limits on when you can be charged with/convicted of a crime. Jay Z can't be charged with drug offenses that occurred in 1992. Kodak Black can, legally, be charged with kidnappings that happened two years ago.
