    @Trippy Skippy while I personally don't care either way what he knows or listens to, I think the argument is more about knowing the history of the genre of music you do for a living. A rock band should probably know about the Beatles just like a rapper should probably know at least the basics about Pac and Big.

    Well they certainly don't have to actively listen to them or even listen to them at all. To me it's just more of a respect thing, I'd think if you're in the rap business you'd wanna know about the legends that made the biggest impact.

    But yeah not a huge deal I suppose, just more weird than anything imo.
